Camp enchantment is celebrating over 30 years in New Mexico!
It is an exciting opportunity for children with cancer to HAVE FUN and CELEBRATE LIFE through friendships and discoveries in a safe and respectful atmosphere. This week-long residential camping experience is for children ages 7 through 17. The camp is held at the Manzano Mountain Retreat in Torreon New Mexico. The staff to camper ration is 1 adult to 2 campers and the staff leading the activities are trained and experienced instructors
Campers are given the opportunity to participate in a variety of developmentally appropriate activities such as swimming, kayaking in the pool, high ropes course, arts and crafts, fishing, archery, geocaching, overnight trekking, outdoor cooking, dance, and photography. The staff leading the activities are trained and experienced instructors. The staff to camper ratio is 1 adult for every 2 campers.
The staff at camp are dedicated to comforting, encouraging, and empowering siblings during their family’s struggles with childhood cancer. The hope is that these children and teens can face the future with courage and hope.
Campers are given the opportunity to participate in a high ropes course, zip line, water slide, hiking, giant swing, remote control car racing, shopping cart races, archery, and horseback riding.
